Summary
Ideabolt does not collect any data. Your journal, prompts, and generated ideas remain on your device and are never transmitted to us or a third party. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no Ideabolt servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
The data you create
Your ideas, notes, hashtags, favorites, and related content are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This information never leaves your device. ChronoGate LLC cannot see it, access it, or transmit it.
App settings
Your in-app preferences (such as appearance and feature settings) are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system so the app can remember how you like it. These settings stay on your device and are never transmitted.
On-device AI
On supported devices, Ideabolt offers optional AI features (generating ideas from a seed, polishing an idea, and finding similar ideas) using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework. These features run entirely on your device and offline. No idea, prompt, or other content is sent to ChronoGate LLC or to any third party for AI processing. The use of Apple's on-device model is governed by Apple's own software and privacy terms, which apply to the operating system on your device.
Purchases
The optional one-time "Ideabolt Pro" unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. ChronoGate LLC never sees or stores your payment information. Purchase entitlement is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
No content transmission
Ideabolt makes no direct network request for your journal or AI features. It does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. Apple’s StoreKit may contact the App Store when loading, purchasing, or restoring Ideabolt Pro; no journal content or AI prompt is included in those requests.
No data collection
Because no data is transmitted off your device, ChronoGate LLC does not collect, store, sell, share, or otherwise process any personal information about you. This is consistent with the "Data Not Collected" privacy label shown on the App Store.
Children's privacy
Ideabolt collects no data from anyone, including children. The app contains no objectionable content, no messaging, no advertising, and no access to the open web.
Data retention and deletion
Your data lives only on your device. You can delete any idea within the app, and you can remove all app data at any time by deleting Ideabolt from your device. Because ChronoGate LLC holds none of your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete on request. You remain in full control of your data directly on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Because the app collects no data, any future changes will relate only to clarifying how the app works.
