Why don't the AI features (Spark ideas / Polish) work on my phone?

Ideabolt's AI features — Spark ideas, Polish, and Find similar — run on Apple's on-device Foundation Models. They require an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, or iPhone 17 family) with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other devices those AI buttons stay unavailable, but the rest of Ideabolt — capturing ideas and notes, hashtags, favorites, search, the streak, and the calendar heatmap — works fully.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything you create in Ideabolt stays on your device. Your journal and AI prompts are never uploaded; the app uses no analytics, and AI runs entirely on-device and offline. Nothing you write is sent to us or to any third party. See the Privacy Policy.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no account, no sign-in, and no setup. Open the app and start capturing ideas.

What does Ideabolt cost?

Ideabolt is free to download, and capturing, notes, tags, search, and the calendar are free forever. Your first 5 AI actions are included; after that, a one-time $4.99 "Ideabolt Pro" purchase unlocks unlimited AI — pay once, own it forever. No subscription, ever.

I bought Ideabolt Pro on another device — how do I restore it?

Open Settings inside Ideabolt and tap Restore Purchase (it's also on the unlock screen). Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so one unlock covers all your devices.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app from your device — that removes everything. Because all your data lives only on your device and we hold nothing, there's nothing for us to delete on our end. You can also delete individual ideas inside the app at any time.
